Our book club's "bad" pick turned into our best meeting ever
Last month we read a thriller everyone hated by page 50. Three of us almost quit, but we pushed through and showed up ready to argue. Instead of our usual polite nods, we went at it for 2 hours over the ending's plot holes. The debate got so heated that two members who never talk were shouting over each other. We even voted to do a sequel read next month just to settle the score. Has anyone else had a book you despised become the spark for your most lively discussion?
