Am I the only one dreading the 200th book club meeting?
We hit our 200th meeting last Tuesday at the library, 6 years of monthly reads. Everyone was all hyped about having cake and a big celebration, but I honestly felt a bit bummed out. That number made me realize we keep picking safe, crowd-pleasing novels just to keep attendance up. I miss the old days when we fought over weird picks like that surreal sci-fi nobody understood back in meeting 40. Does anyone else feel like hitting a milestone actually makes you notice how boring the routine got, or am I just burnt out after 200 debates?
