Update: that $40 tube roller saved my tube sheet job in Tulsa
I used to think those fancy tube rollers were a waste of money and my old hand setup was fine. Then I got a rush job on a small boiler in Tulsa and my arm was killing me after 20 tubes, so I dropped $40 on a roller with a better bearing and the difference was nuts. I got the rest of the sheet done in half the time and the joints passed inspection first try. Now I'm wondering what else I've been cheaping out on that's actually slowing me down. What's one tool under $50 that you wish you'd bought way earlier?
