Tried gas tungsten arc welding on thin stainless for the first time this week

I usually just stick with MIG for everything but I had this job at a food processing plant in Portland that needed real clean beads on 16 gauge. The TIG setup was way more forgiving on the thin stuff and I didn't blow through a single joint like I always do with MIG. Has anyone else made the switch for precision work or is it just me?

Dude @mason361 is right to rethink it, TIG on thin stainless is just smoother. 16 gauge is where TIG really shines over MIG for me, way less cleanup too. Sticking with MIG for heavy stuff but TIG is my go to now for anything under 14 gauge.

Used to be all MIG too but your post made me rethink.
