That $45 leather welding cap was a total bust, here's why
I dropped 45 bucks on a fancy leather cap with a brass zipper thinking it'd last forever. First hot splatter hit it and the stitching just unraveled like cheap thread, burned a hole right through the crown. My old cotton cap from the swap meet, cost me like 8 bucks, still holding strong after two years. Anyone else found that the pricey gear is sometimes worse than the basic stuff?
