Pro tip: I switched from a standard 4-inch grinder to a 5-inch for weld prep and it's a game changer

I was working on a big pressure vessel job in Toledo last month, prepping a ton of bevels on 1-inch plate. My old 4-inch Metabo was fine, but I borrowed a buddy's 5-inch Milwaukee to try it. The difference in material removal rate is huge. The larger disc covers more surface area and the extra power means you're not fighting the tool as much on heavy passes. I was able to prep a 20-foot seam in about half the time, with less fatigue in my arms by the end of the day. The key is the bigger disc stays cooler longer under load, so you get more consistent cutting. Honestly, I'm buying one for my own kit this week. Has anyone else made a similar switch and found a specific brand or model that holds up better to daily abuse?

Is it really that big of a difference?

Switching from 60hz to 120hz on a phone screen is a night and day change. Scrolling through social feeds feels buttery smooth, like the text is just gliding. Playing a fast game like COD Mobile, you can actually track moving targets better. Once you use it for a day, going back to a standard screen feels choppy and slow.
