A 6 inch shell seam gap last friday had me reaching for my 4lb sledge first

I spent 20 minutes beating a plate into place on a water tank over by the rail yard, then remembered an older guy in Cheyenne set me up with a set of bull pins and a chain come-along, and it closed that gap in 4 minutes flat, anyone else switch over to pins for good?
