Vent: Took me 3 hours to figure out why my game pieces were warping

Did your buddy check if their build plate was actually level? I know a guy who spent a whole weekend printing chess pieces that came out looking like melted candles before he realized one corner of his bed was lower than the rest. He was about to throw the whole printer out the window until someone told him to just use a piece of paper to level it.

Gotta say, I used to roll my eyes at people obsessing over printer settings and filament temperatures. Like, just hit print and go, right? But then I spent two whole days trying to figure out why my little D&D mini bases kept turning into wavy pancakes on the bottom. Turns out my bed was just a tiny bit too hot and the first layer was basically melting itself before the next one stuck. Now I get it, I really do. Your three hours is nothing compared to the pile of useless plastic I made before I finally checked the temperature.
