TIL our game group's setup time dropped from 20 minutes to 5 after we started using a tackle box for all the small pieces.

We got the idea from a post on BGG about organizing Gloomhaven, and now we just hand each player their own labeled compartment box with their character's bits, so has anyone else found a weirdly perfect storage solution for a specific game?

Remember those plastic bead organizers from craft stores? My friend uses one for Terraforming Mars and now the table looks less like a bomb went off.

Ever wonder if we're just one step away from using tackle boxes for everything? Vale19's lure box idea made me look at my own sewing kit differently (it's basically a plastic grid full of tiny compartments). Now I'm eyeing my husband's old fishing gear in the garage, thinking those little trays could finally organize my Arkham Horror cards. The weird part is how a solution for worms ends up perfect for cardboard tokens.

Actually saw someone use a metal fishing lure box for Scythe. The weight keeps it from sliding around when you pull pieces out, and the dividers are perfect for the different resource types. That solid click when it closes is way more satisfying than flimsy plastic. Never would have thought of it myself, but it works better than any fancy insert. Sometimes the cheap hardware store fix is the right one.
