That guy who lectured me on tile spacing at a board game night...
Was at a meetup playing Carcassonne and this one dude kept correcting my play because I left gaps in my placement... said it was bad strategy. He spent 20 minutes explaining why I should never leave open ends, even though I was just trying to finish a road for 6 points. Has anyone else had someone nitpick their moves like that at a game night?

Wait, isn't leaving gaps actually a VALID tactic in Carcassonne to mess with other players' farms later? That guy was probably just mad you weren't playing HIS way.
