Talking to my nephew about board games made me feel old...
He asked why I still keep my old Ticket to Ride box from 2008 when he just plays it on his phone. I told him about game nights with my college friends, spreading the map on a dorm floor... and he just didn't get it. Do you think the physical part of board games is what makes us geeks, or is it something else?

ok but @oliviadixon i gotta push back a little. like yeah people matter but the hardware is literally what lets us enjoy the games? my switch lite is beat to hell but i love it way more than my friend's brand new oled because it's been through so much with me. you can have both the connection to people AND appreciate the actual device you're using.
