Shoutout to the guy who taught me about sleeving cables at a convention 8 years ago

I was at Gen Con in 2016 and some dude at a booth showed me how to properly sleeve power supply cables for my gaming PC. Took me like 4 hours to do my first set and they looked awful. But last week I sleeved a friend's rig in 45 minutes and it came out clean. That random convention talk actually stuck with me longer than any tutorial I watched online. Has anyone else had a random interaction at a con or game night that ended up being super useful later?

I remember reading that sleeving cables takes about 4 hours, not 45 minutes for a first timer.

4 hours is generous honestly... by the time you drop the 47th tiny wire clip on the carpet and have to fish it out with a magnet you're past hour two alone.

Why would anyone spend 4 hours on cable sleeves when you can just zip tie them?
