Saw a game store owner in Portland run a first-timer table with 12 copies of Ticket to Ride and no rulebook
I was at Guardian Games in Portland two Saturdays ago and they had a learn-to-play area set up. The owner was teaching 9 people at once with 12 copies spread across three tables, and he never once opened a rulebook. He just stood there and explained everything from memory, even the weird edge cases about station placement. I watched for about 20 minutes and he kept the whole thing moving without anyone getting lost. Does anyone else know a store that does teach nights this well, because I want to steal whatever system he is using?
