We used to have these long, quiet breaks where everyone was counting their own stuff and the mood just died. That was six months ago. I bought a cheap whiteboard for $15 and now we mark everyone's points after each round. The whole table talks more, people cheer for big moves, and games finish 20 minutes faster.
