My game group's copy of Gloomhaven got a soda spill right on the board
We were at my friend's place in Austin and someone knocked over a full can. The map tiles started to warp and stick together. Has anyone else fixed a big spill on a board game without wrecking it?

Feel your pain, we had a nacho cheese incident with our copy of Betrayal. Try gently separating the tiles with a flat plastic tool, like a guitar pick, then press them under heavy books once they're dry. My attempt left a permanent grease stain on the foyer tile, so maybe don't follow my lead exactly.

Wait, is a stained game board really that big of a deal? It just gives your copy some character and a story to tell. My old Monopoly board has a huge coffee ring and we still play on it just fine. Unless you're trying to sell it, maybe just live with the cheese ghost.

Had a buddy try to clean a vintage Clue board with some cleaning wipes once. Totally rubbed the ink off a whole room tile and now it just says "Ballroom" with a faded smudge underneath. He still brings it out but we all just pretend we know where the stain goes.
