Dropped $220 on fancy metal dice for D&D night, and my table hates them

Bought a set of tungsten dice last month at a shop in Austin because they felt so good in my hand, but they dented my buddy's oak table on the first roll and now everyone makes me use a felt tray. The clicky sound is great but honestly my $12 plastic set rolls the same numbers. Anyone else blow real cash on premium dice and end up going back to the cheap ones?
