Discovered a trick for teaching Wingspan to new players at our gaming group

I started giving everyone a cheat sheet with the habitat icons and action summaries, and our last session in Chicago ran 45 minutes faster than the usual 3-hour slog.

Cheat sheets are a game changer for heavy games lol. Simple fix that saves everyone the headache.

Actually printed out a player aid for Terrforming Mars (you know, the one with all the phase steps) and it cut our game time by almost 45 minutes. We used to flip the rulebook back and forth every round trying to remember what comes after the research phase. Now we just glance at the sheet and keep moving. Huge difference for how smooth the night goes, especially when someone has had a few beers and can't keep track.

I read somewhere that having a cheat sheet basically turns a 3-hour game into a 2-hour one just by cutting down on all that rulebook flipping. Sounds like you folks found the same thing works great.
