Dice tower ruined my game night, not enhanced it

Bought a fancy wooden dice tower off Etsy for $60. Thought it would be this cool centerpiece for our weekly Gloomhaven session. First time using it, dice kept getting stuck halfway down. By the third roll it tipped over and knocked a buddy's character card into someone's beer. We trashed the tower and went back to rolling by hand. Way faster and nobody's stuff gets wrecked. Anyone else have a dice accessory that ended up being more trouble than it was worth?
