Was dead set against using a finisher on forge welding, now I'm a convert

I always thought a power hammer or press was cheating, but after 15 failed welds on a damascus billet last month, I rented time on a 25-ton press and got it done in 3 heats. Anyone else cave and start using tools they swore they'd never touch?
