Tried forging a leaf with a ball-peen hammer versus my cross-peen, and the difference was hilarious.

The ball-peen just made a bunch of weird dents, but the cross-peen gave me those clean, defined veins in like two strikes. Anyone have a favorite hammer for detail work like that?

Cross-peen is a game changer for texture. I keep a small one just for that kind of work.

Wait you have a whole separate hammer just for texture work? That's some serious dedication.

Nah, I gotta disagree with you here... ball-peen is way more underrated for leaf veining if you use the rounded side at the right angle. @thead44, dedication is one thing but sometimes having two hammers just complicates things when one can do double duty.
