Rant: I swapped from coal to propane and my welds got way cleaner in 6 months

After burning coal for 5 years I finally switched to a propane forge and the difference in scale and slag on my steel is night and day. Has anyone else noticed cleaner welds after ditching solid fuel or is it just my setup?

Guessing nobody's mentioned how propane burns way cleaner in terms of moisture content either (coal can trap humidity like crazy depending on your storage). That added moisture in your forge might've been messing with your flux and creating extra slag without you even realizing it.
