I had to decide between a cheap 2x72 grinder or saving for a better one, and after 6 months of saving I finally got the KMG and it's a total game changer for my bevels.

Gotta ask, is a super expensive grinder really that big of a deal? I used a cheap 1x30 from the hardware store for years and my knives came out fine. People get so hung up on gear. A steady hand and practice seem way more important than the brand name on the motor. Sure, a fancy one is faster, but calling it a "game changer" feels like a stretch.

My uncle sharpened all his kitchen knives on the bottom of a ceramic mug for like twenty years. They were scary sharp, but he also cut himself a lot.
