Went back and watched season 1 of The Wire after finishing it, and I can't believe how much I missed
I finished the whole show back in March. Took me about 6 weeks. Then last month I started over from episode 1, and it was like watching a different show.
First time through, I was just trying to keep up with who was who. Second time, I caught stuff in the background of scenes I totally blanked on. Little looks between characters. Stuff on the walls in the office scenes. A guy walking through a scene who becomes a big deal later.
It took me finishing the last season and sitting with it for a month before I went back. Now I'm wondering if this happens with other shows too, or if The Wire is just built different.
Has anyone else done a full rewatch of a show right after finishing it? Did it feel like a new show to you too, or was it just me noticing small stuff?
