Wasted 8 hours on a show with a terrible ending
I blew through all 5 seasons of The 100 in a week. The finale was so bad it made the whole thing feel pointless. Anyone else have a show that ruined the entire binge for you?

@jesse_barnes37 makes a good point about the themes, but The 100's ending was frustrating for a different reason. The show spent five seasons building up these characters and then just abandoned all that development for a rushed, confusing finish. It felt like the writers got tired of the story and decided to wrap it up with a weird space tree thing and everyone forgiving each other. Maybe the issue isn't that people didn't pay attention, but that the finale failed to deliver on the emotional weight the earlier seasons earned. It's one thing to have a bold ending, it's another to have one that feels like a cop out because you painted yourself into a corner.

Did you actually pay attention to the whole series or just binge it without really watching? The ending made perfect sense with the themes they built up.

Yeah @aarons36 hit it big time with that "emotional weight" thing. I did the same thing with Lost, binged all 6 seasons in like 2 weeks and the finale just left me staring at the wall. The buildup was great but the payoff was so vague and unsatisfying. What helped me was finding a podcast that broke down the ending and explained the themes better, it didn't make me like it but at least I felt less like I wasted my time.
