Took me 4 tries to get the captions right on my smart TV

I spent a whole Sunday trying to sync subtitles with the audio on my LG, the delay was always off by like a second and it drove me crazy. Turns out the issue was my soundbar's bluetooth lag, not the TV settings, and I had to adjust the audio delay manually in the service menu. Has anyone else dealt with this or is there a simpler trick I'm missing for fixing subtitle timing?

Always blamed the TV, never thought soundbar lag was the real culprit.
