Three episodes into a new show and skipped the recap on episode 4, totally lost the whole subplot
I found out that clicking the 'skip intro' button also skips the 30-second recap on Netflix for shows like Dark, so I missed the reveal about the time travel device and had to rewind and catch it again, has anyone else accidentally torpedoed their own binge this way?

Wait, you mean there's actually a secret recap hidden behind the skip intro button? That explains why I spent the first ten minutes of every show trying to figure out who that character with the scar was and why he was suddenly so important. I kept blaming my own bad memory but now I'm starting to think Netflix just enjoys watching us squirm. At least on Hulu you can see the recap, even if it plays the same sad violin music every single time. Maybe the real time travel device is the one that sends me back to last Tuesday when I almost got through a whole episode without pausing to Google a plot point.

Right, and the worst part is when you accidentally skip the recap AND the intro because you're mashing the button too fast, so now you're ten minutes into an episode with no idea why that guy's running through the woods or whose grave they're standing at. I've done that with like three different shows this month alone, and I just have to sit there hoping it'll come back to me eventually. At least Hulu gives you the option to replay the recap if you zone out, but Netflix acts like they're doing you a favor by burying it behind a button that most people think just skips the theme song. I swear they design their UI specifically to mess with people who watch shows a week late and forget everything.
