The way people skip the opening credits drives me nuts while binging

I was watching a show with my brother last weekend and he kept skipping the opening credits every single episode. It got to the point where I made him go back because the music sets the whole mood for the show. I know some openings go on too long, like Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, but there is a middle ground. Why binge a show if you do not even want to experience the full thing the way it was made? Most streaming services even let you set a skip intro button now, so it is not like you have to suffer through 90 seconds. Has anyone else had this argument with a friend or family member who just cannot leave the theme song alone?

Bro my girlfriend does the exact same thing and it drives me up a wall lol. We were watching Squid Game together and she skipped the intro music every single time, I told her she's missing half the experience. The music in that show is so good at building tension and she just ignores it completely. I get it for shows with crazy long openings like House of Cards or something but for a 30 second banger she cant even sit through it. Makes me wonder if she even pays attention to the show or just stares at her phone the whole time lol.

Nah man you're totally right, the Squid Game intro was literally part of the vibe. Actually had a buddy who dated this girl and she would skip intros on everything including Stranger Things, which has that whole synth wave thing going on. One time she skipped the Breaking Bad cold open where the RV is crashing through the desert and he just sat there waiting for her to realize what she did. She never did. They broke up eventually, not cause of that but I always kinda figured it was a red flag lol.
