The 'skip intro' button broke my rewatch habit in one weekend

I was binging a 90s cop drama in Phoenix and let autoplay roll for 2 straight nights, then realized I'd memorized the cold opens but had zero clue who the new captain was. When I finally went back to watch from episode 1, I got so annoyed by the credits that I quit the whole show by Sunday afternoon. Does anyone else feel like the skip feature actually ruins pacing for shows that rely on slow burn openings, or am I just weird about continuity?

Skip intro is a trap for slow burn shows no cap. Those old cop dramas put real work into the cold open and the theme song sets the mood, cutting it kills the whole vibe. Autoplay is the real bad guy here since it just runs everything together with no breaks. You end up burned out on a show you actually like because you mainlined it like junk food. Nothing wrong with your continuity thing either, that new captain probably showed up in a five second scene you slept through. Honestly just turn autoplay off and let the credits play, it hits different.
