The 1989 episode count that broke my rewatch streak

I was rewatching Star Trek TNG last month and hit season 2, which only has 22 episodes because of the writer's strike that year. I always thought every season had 26, so when I checked Wikipedia I felt dumb for not noticing sooner. It messed up my whole binge plan since I budgeted a full week for it. Has anyone else gotten thrown off by a shorter season from a strike or production issue?

Just skip ahead to season three, the strike seasons usually have the weaker episodes anyway.
