My mom's 2 episode rule finally made sense after a 14 hour flight

She always said you can't judge a show until you give it two episodes, and I blew it off for years, but after forcing myself through the first two slow ones of a 2019 Danish thriller on that flight, I was hooked by episode 3 and finished all 12 hours before landing, has anyone else had a show that needed that extra push to click?
