I finally asked my coworker why she watches the same show on repeat
So last Tuesday at lunch, my office mate Dana was on episode 9 of The Office for maybe the 15th time through. I cracked a joke about it and she got real quiet, then said "It's not about the show, it's about knowing what happens next. My brain gets to rest." That hit me weird because I usually chase new shows constantly, 2 episodes of something then I'm bored by episode 5. She said she's done that with Parks and Rec for 3 years straight, like 11 full runs. Has anyone else found comfort in rewatching over finding fresh stuff? Or am I missing some trick to stick with new series past the first few episodes?
