Had to pick between binging a crime drama or a fantasy series last night

I was scrolling Netflix for like 20 minutes trying to decide between Mindhunter and The Witcher. Ended up going with Mindhunter because I heard it was more of a slow burn and I was in the mood for something real. Got through 4 episodes before I realized it was 2am and I had work in the morning. Has anyone else had a hard time choosing between two totally different genres and regretted one choice?

Mindhunter was the right call honestly. That show gets under your skin in a way that fantasy just can't. The Witcher is great for when you want to switch your brain off and watch monsters, but Mindhunter actually makes you think about how messed up people are. Crime dramas always hit different than fantasy because they feel like they could really happen. No regrets on your pick.

Used to be a fantasy guy through and through. Thought crime dramas were boring because they're just people talking in rooms. But I gave Mindhunter a shot last month and man, I was wrong. The way they break down why people do awful things is way more gripping than any dragon fight. Now I'm hooked on shows like True Detective and The Killing because the tension feels heavier when it's all real. Still love my fantasy stuff but crime dramas hit different when you're in the right mood.
