Binged the whole first season of this new cop show before I realized it was a parody

I kept watching The Rookie: Feds and thought the acting was just bad until episode 7 when a character literally winked at the camera. My buddy laughed and asked if I knew it was a comedy spoof from the start. I felt dumb but now I'm rewatching everything with new eyes and it's actually hilarious. Has anyone else accidentally taken a parody seriously for multiple episodes?

Oh man, I read something about this exact thing happening with another show called "The Other Two." Apparently people thought it was a serious drama about an influencer's siblings until like halfway through the first season. The deadpan delivery is just too convincing sometimes. I think that winking at the camera is the ultimate giveaway though, like how did you miss that? I hope they keep doing that thing where the police captain randomly break dances in the background of serious scenes. Now I want to check out your show because that sounds like my kind of ridiculous.
