Binged a show for 6 hours then my streaming app crashed and lost my spot

I was deep into season 3 of Dark last night around 2 AM when the app just froze and kicked me out. When I reloaded, it reset me back to episode 2 and I had no clue where I left off. Has anyone else had a streaming service mess up your binge like that?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling... especially when you're that deep in a show. I was watching Dark too and the same thing happened to me, @joelsanchez it's like the app knew we were invested. Losing your spot after hours of binging just makes you want to throw your phone across the room. I had to scroll through episode 3 for like 20 minutes trying to remember where I was. It totally kills the whole vibe when you're already half asleep. Makes you wonder why these services can't just save your progress properly.

YES EXACTLY this has happened to me with Netflix and it makes me SO mad. @joelsanchez you're not alone, I lost my place in Dark season 2 one time and had to guess by where the sun was in the scene. It's like these apps purposely wait until you're in the zone then BOOM crash. I spent like 15 minutes scrolling through episode 4 trying to find the exact moment I fell asleep during the cave scene and it was HOPELESS. Honestly makes me want to go back to physical DVDs sometimes.
