Binged a 10 season show in 2 weeks and still forgot the plot

I watched all of Supernatural over the summer, cramming 10 seasons into 14 days. But by season 8 I couldn't remember which brother died and came back when. Has anyone else binged so fast the details blurred together?

oh man that happens to me all the time. i watched all of friends in like three weeks once and by season 8 i forgot ross had been married like four times. i mixed up who he was with at what point so bad. same thing happened with greys anatomy, i started calling characters by the wrong names because i blended all the seasons together in my head. its like your brain just reaches max capacity and starts mixing everything up in a weird soup.

Binging shows is like speed-reading a book, you catch the major plot points but miss the quiet moments that make characters distinct. I actually remember Ross's marriages pretty well because each one had such a different vibe, like the British one and the one in Vegas. Maybe I just process stories weirdly, but I find taking a day between seasons helps me keep everyone straight.
