Vent: I was reading an old industry report and saw that a single 11-speed chain has over 400 individual parts.

Found it in a PDF from a supplier seminar back in 2019. Makes you respect the precision in those little plates and pins, doesn't it?

Yeah I heard each pin is machined to like a thousandth of an inch. Crazy how much goes into something we just toss when it's worn.

Seriously, that precision is wild. I started saving my old ones in a jar just because it feels wrong to trash them. Makes you appreciate the engineering a bit more.
