Tried a Park Tool chain checker instead of my ruler method and got a different answer on a Trek hybrid from 2018
That little gauge said the chain was at 0.75 wear but my old 12 inch ruler trick showed fine, now I'm wondering how many chains I've let go too long over the years, has anyone else found the ruler method to be way off compared to a proper tool?
