Snapped a Park Tool chain whip on a stuck cassette last Tuesday

I was trying to get a rusty 11-32 off a customers bike and the handle just cracked right in half. Has anyone else had one break on them or did I just get a bad batch?

Did you torque the handle or just reef on it like a gorilla?

had to use a pipe wrench extension on the handle once. worked better than buying a new one.
