Shoutout to trying tubular tires for the first time on a rainy group ride

Was always team clincher but picked up a set of tubulars for $60 on eBay to see what the fuss was about. Hit a wet descent at 35 mph and they held way better than I expected, no burping or sliding. Has anyone else found tubulars worth the glue hassle?

You said they "held way better than expected" but honestly tubulars grip better than clinchers in the wet almost every time... that's kind of their main thing. The real test is whether you can change one on the side of the road in the rain without melting your hands on a glue pot. Still, for $60 you basically stole those, so good on you.

Used to swear by clinchers but yeah these changed my mind completely.
