I bought a $300 ultrasonic cleaner for chain cleaning, but I'm not convinced it's better than my old brush and solvent method.

The shop owner said it would save me hours a month, but after six months, I'm not seeing it. It takes time to set up, uses a lot of fluid, and honestly, the results aren't that different from a thorough hand clean. For a busy shop, maybe it makes sense, but for my home workshop, it feels like a fancy paperweight. What's your take? Are these things a game-changer for you, or just an expensive gimmick?

Sold mine after a year for basically the same reasons. I mean, it was fine, but idk, just felt like more trouble than it was worth for the few chains I do.

Ugh, I feel the same way. It just sits in my garage now. The old brush method is faster for me.
