Heads up about that bike co-op on 5th street
I stopped by the community bike co-op off 5th street last Tuesday to donate some old parts. The guy running the place was swapping a bottom bracket on a customer's bike and he didn't even clean the shell before pressing the new one in. I could see old grease and grit just sitting there. If you drop your bike off there, I'd ask them to show you the work before they button it up. Has anyone else seen sloppy work like that at a co-op?

Watched a guy at a different shop use a rusty chain as a bottle opener once, no joke.

Used to think that was just a dumb bar trick, but this honestly changed my mind. Guess it depends on the chain though, right @the_zara?
