Switched from a blade grinder to a burr grinder and wow what a difference

I was using this cheap blade grinder I got at Target for like 3 years. Thought my coffee was fine. Then my buddy let me borrow his Baratza Encore last week. First cup I made with it was way better, not even close. The grind was actually even and my French press stopped having all that sludge at the bottom. Has anyone else had that moment where you realize you were missing out the whole time?

Just made the exact same switch last month. Took one sip of my first burr grinder brew and honestly felt kinda dumb for all those years of drinking coffee that looked like it had gravel in it.

Forget the gravel, that sounds more like you were drinking muddy silt from a cheap blade grinder.
