My grinder dial is a lie and I keep falling for it

I set my Baratza to 18 for pour over last Tuesday and the drawdown took 4 minutes. Same beans, same water temp, only thing that changed was my stubborn refusal to purge a few grams after changing settings. I finally cleaned the burrs and now the same dial setting tastes way too fine. How often do you guys recalibrate after a deep clean, or do you just taste and adjust every single morning?
