Dropped $180 on a hand grinder and it made my $20 drip pot taste better than my neighbor's fancy machine
I grabbed a 1Zpresso JX-Pro about 5 months back after my old blade grinder started making coffee taste like dust and regret. The thing weighs a ton and cranking it for a full pot takes forever, but the cup I get from my cheap Melitta pour over now beats the $600 Breville my buddy runs at his place in Sacramento. I almost sent it back the first week because the grind dial confused me and I choked the filter twice. What got you over the hump with a new grinder, or did you just eat the return shipping and go back to what you knew?
