Bought a $13 scale off Amazon because my old one was lying to me
For about 8 months I was dosing my pour over by eye with a scoop, and my coffee always came out sour no matter what I did. Then my wife got me a cheap digital scale with a timer for my birthday, and I finally saw I was dumping in like 26 grams when I thought it was 18. First brew after that was smooth and sweet, and I just stood in my kitchen laughing like an idiot. The scale shuts off mid pour sometimes, which is annoying, but it still beat guessing by a mile. Anyone else start weighing their beans and get mad they waited so long?
