Rant: my Reel got 12 views and I finally figured out why after 3 weeks

I posted a Reel last month from my kitchen table in Boise about a hiking trail, and it sat at 12 views for three days while my old posts kept pulling in likes. Turned out I had put a TikTok watermark on it, and the app was burying it on purpose. I re-uploaded the same clip with no watermark and typed the caption inside the app instead of pasting it, and it hit 4,000 views by the next morning. Same video, same 12 second length, just a different file. Has this happened to anyone else, or was it the caption that did it?
