Took me 40 minutes at a Dayton Kroger to figure out which coupon actually stacked

I stood in aisle 7 with two paper coupons and the store app for 40 minutes last Tuesday because the fine print on the $1.50 off cereal didn't say the app deal was already applied at checkout, so does anyone know a quick way to check stacking rules before I get to the register?
