The store brand battery outlasted the name brand, and I'm not shocked anymore
I used to think paying double for the big name batteries was just the price of reliability. About six months ago I grabbed a pack of the generic ones from the hardware store on Main Street just to test my theory. Turns out they run just as long in my kid's toys and my shop's flashlights, no joke. The only difference I noticed was the label, the performance was identical in every device I tried. Since then I've switched all my household batteries to store brand and saved roughly $40 a year. Anyone else ever compare their own brand battery tests, or did I just get lucky with this particular batch?
