The generic 'extra 10% off' coupon doubled my grocery savings when I stacked it right
Last Tuesday I was checking out at the Albertsons on 12th Street and the cashier handed me a store coupon that looked like junk mail. It said 10% off your total order, no exclusions. I figured it wouldn't stack with my digital deals, but I tried it anyway after she said "worth a shot." Turns out it applied after all my manufacturer coupons and my loyalty card savings. My total dropped from $86 to $77, and then the 10% took it to about $69. I saved $17 on one trip, which is more than I usually save in a week of clipping. The trick was reading the fine print on the back, it said "valid on sale items too," and most store coupons exclude those. Has anyone else tried stacking store-wide coupons with their regular deals? I thought those things were always useless.
