Store brand foil beat the fancy roll and I'm still laughing about it
I smoked two pork shoulders last Saturday and wrapped one in the $6.99 heavy duty foil from the restaurant supply place and the other in the $1.25 dollar store roll. The cheap stuff tore at the corner when I pulled it tight and juice leaked all over my drip pan. The fancy roll held up fine, no rips, no leaks, and the shoulder came out way juicier. I stood in the yard at 7am holding a torn sheet of foil feeling like a genius for buying the good stuff. My neighbor watched the whole thing from his deck and would not stop laughing. So now I want to know, has anyone found a store brand that actually holds up to a 12 hour smoke without costing an arm?

That leak all over the drip pan is rough, been there with cheap foil.
